They know what to look out for, and they understand how systems inside and outside the structure interacts with one another. Defects come in many varieties that people with no experience may have no chance of seeing till they start to cause issues at home.

No, you do not need to be - as long as we have access to the unit. However, your presence is encouraged. Once the defect inspection is complete, we will provide you with the report for you to look through, and clarify anything if needed.

You can, however, we would advise against it as interior designers are specialised in a different niche. They may not be able to conduct the inspection as effective as a professional defects inspector would. From experience, they may also prioritise their individual projects as their main focus is on renovation works.
